The Influence of Organizational Culture, Transformational Leadership and Work Discipline on Employee Engagement Through Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable (Study on Employees of PT. Novell Pharmaceutical Laboratories)

Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, transformational leadership and work discipline on employee engagement through job satisfaction as an intervening variable conducted on employees of PT. Novell Pharmaceutical Laboratories. This research is a survey research using a questionnaire as an instrument and taken as many as 97 respondents who are employees of PT. Novell Pharmaceutical Laboratories using simple random sampling method. Data collection is done by providing a list of questions to respondents using google form. This research uses the SmartPLS ver 3.0 analysis tool. The hypothesis is tested with path coefficients and indirect effects. The results of the study obtained the following conclusions; (1) Organizational culture (X1) has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Z). (2) Transformational leadership (X2) has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Z). (3) Work discipline (X3) has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction (Z). (4) Job satisfaction (Z) has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (Y). (5) Organizational culture (X1) has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (Y) either directly or through job satisfaction (Z). (6) Transformational leadership (X2) does not directly have a significant effect on employee engagement (Y) but has a positive and significant indirect effect on job satisfaction (Z). (7) Work discipline (X3) has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement (Y) either directly or through job satisfaction (Z). Job satisfaction variable (Z) is able to be an intervening variable that mediates the effect of organizational culture (X1) and transformational leadership (X2) and work discipline (X3) variables on employee engagement (Y).
